What we are doing
WHY IS STEM IMPORTANT IN SCHOOLS?
STEM projects (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) provide unique opportunities for students to practice critical thinking, creative problem solving, and collaboration, among other skills:
When students are encouraged to ask questions and solve problems of the world around them, they are motivated to keep doing so. Young children find joy in learning, and STEM projects can produce that joy while motivating students to seek out more projects.
- Teamwork
- Project management
- An understanding of the scientific method
- Confidence that stems from achievement
