Enrichment Program

RVEF Enrichment provided wide access to engaging and challenging, hands-on learning for ALL students in grades K-8 in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, and the Arts (STEAM) + Physical Education, and more! Thank you for helping us in these past 15 years reach our goal of sparking curiosity and love of learning in ALL young people.

A Note from Cathy Hatcher RVEF Enrichment Coordinator

As most of you know I became the RVEF Enrichment Coordinator during the summer of 2020 (in the midst of COVID). We were able to offer enrichment online that summer and most of the school year, and have now transitioned back into in-person instruction. I wanted to let you all know that I have made the decision to step down as Enrichment Coordinator at the end of July. I am looking forward to being semi-retired and being able to teach, create curriculum, and spend time with my family.
I want to THANK all of you so much for all your support and enthusiasm. Megan Fonseca, former Executive Director of RVEF and Seth Weinberg, Director of Extended Care for RVUSD, will be working on the transition of all after-school enrichment. With great thanks! Cathy Hatcher

A Note from Megan Fonseca - Former RVEF Executive Director

I want to thank you and Cathy for the countless hours of support you've given to the Enrichment Program. I've worked with many of you as Cathy's predecessor and have not only enjoyed that relationship but also the one as a parent who had both of my children in many of the program's classes for the past 7 years.
The COVID-19 Pandemic has taken quite a toll on the Foundation and continues to do so. Participation in our Enrichment Program was affected greatly and with Cathy's decision to step down, now seemed the best time to transition the program back into the loving and original hands of the Rincon Valley Union School District.
More details about what the new program will look like will be provided by RVUSD's Extended Care Program Director Seth Weinberg.
Warmly, Megan Fonseca

A Note from Seth Weinberg - RVUSD Extended Care Program Director

We are honored to take over RVEF’s hard work and bring your excellent activities to RVUSD’s students. We have been working with Megan Fonseca and Cathy Hatcher to create a smooth transition between our programs.
Extended Care will be rolling out enrichment programs in two phases this year. The first phase, starting this fall, will be modeled after Extended Care’s existing Enrichment Program structure. And the second phase, starting this winter will be modeled after RVEF's program. More information will be available at the beginning of the school year. That being said, please do not hesitate to call me or send me an email with additional questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Seth Weinberg Extended Care Program Director Rincon Valley Union School District sweinberg@rvusd.org 707-542-7375 x4113
